Hitachi Acquisition Completed

Hitachi’s $10-million purchase of Nortel’s Next Generation Packet Core Assets has been completed after approval from bankruptcy courts in the U.S. and Canada.

“These products support the transfer of data over existing wireless networks and the next generation of wireless communications technology,” Nortel said in a statement. “The assets include relevant non-patent intellectual property, equipment and other related tangible assets, as well as a non-exclusive license of certain relevant patents and other intellectual property.”
