Nortel’s November

November looks like it could be an interesting month for Nortel. Here’s what’s on tap:

- Nov. 13: The auction for the metro Ethernet networking business is scheduled to take place, although there are reports it could be delayed to give potential bidders more time to prepare offers.

- Nov. 16: The company’s third-quarter results will be unveiled – not that it matters much but it will provide some more insight into how the business has deteriorated as customers scatter to rivals.

- Nov. 20: The auction of the GSM business happens.

    Several people have stated it but nothing seen officially.

    December 18th is the close date. December 21st as Avaya. Confirmed officially today.

    he should change it to "All Aboot Nortel". This is probably Nortel's last November but there is no news about CVAS and Netas. Got any idea on those?

    I didn't think they had any GSM business ..unless we count the R-GSM peanuts and joke for third world railways.

    Will be interesting to see Q3's rate of decline.
    Since folding to liquidate one might connect the dots to see what their deteriorating business units are actually worth too.

    Billions burned, millions robbed, thousands suffer, as Nortel quietly slips into the abyss leaving a wake of unfathomable and untold carnage. Nor tell always did disappoint, right past their 12th hour.
