At least some will profit from this - those working for Global IP. Of course the legal folks and others who let the contract and will "monitor" the phases....what will the bonus payments be for them?

A challenging assignment. I guess that in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king. It presupposes incredible industry knowledge on the part of Global IP. Because based on Nortel's own exploitation of these patents, many had little if any value. However, they may well have value to a variety of strategic investors, as I can't see anyone else building a business around them.

As long as an external firm is doing the job, I feel more comfortable. Left with Nortel's management, we would never see the end of it ....... until all the patents are worthless.
