Gores/Siemens to Bid on Enterprise Unit

Not that this is a surprise but Gores Group and Siemens AG said it is putting together a bid to buy Nortel’s enterprise business.

The venture, called Enterprise Networks Holdings (ENH), has filed a a limited objection to the proposed bidding procedures for the Nortel unit in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

According to Reuters, ENH “claims the procedures have several provisions that not only give Avaya an unfair advantage, but also reduce the likelihood of Nortel’s stakeholders receiving maximum value for the assets.

“So, it begs the question, if all the above is accurate, why is it that no company wants to buy this Nortel unit beginning with Ericsson who should have gotten it with their purchase?”

the fact that there is no stalking horse bid doesn't mean that nobody wants it

guys…you're in the wrong house. Gores is about Enterprise and (hopefully) not Carrier. SInce the Bay acq. I have seen what the understanding from Carrier is about Enterprise. Thanks I have enough….and I strongly hope this will have an end very soon!
