Hardly. Canada is one of the architects of this day, not the victim. Canada had lots of opportunity to leverage it's position with EDC to effect change in the leadership of Nortel and the restructuring process but instead decided to just let Nortel perish at the hands of a leadership that it acknowledged was 'without a coherent plan'. Canada gets exactly what it deserves - elected lame-duck politicians who do nothing and Nortel employees who "believe" instead of protest.<br><br>Blame Canada! Sad day for Canada? Hardly.
