Talking about Nortel on BNN

It must be a pretty slow news day if the media is asking me to talk about Nortel.

I was on Business New Network earlier today (aka BNN), talking about Nortel’s LTE business, and reports some LTE patents could generate as much as $2.9-million in revenue.

    Nice interview.

I Hope they bring you back so that you can expose Z and his so called “career”.

    Good job Mark, congratulation.
I agree on one sure thing in your talk.
There may be a lot more assets in Nortel but we don’t know that.
    In other words
Any idiot including Mike Z can fire_sale all assets but only smart one can get the most $$
    example of assets
in last 10 years Nortel used_invested $20 bill in R&D
    Where is that asset?

Nortel once managed to the modest “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” on their VHS tapes commemerating the grand opening of an ENMC in Texas.
The song was in the charts longer than the NOC was active.

Depends on how much he earned. An ever diminishing number of people are doing do so, beyond – and all thanks to – the Almighty Nortel Gods on Top.

  • Another_Nortel_Watcher

    Yes, btw I agree.

Good job Mark, you came across as presently the information calmly and professionally while at the same time not letting management get away from the blame they deserve.

  • horace_grimswold

Mark is qualified to lead Nortel. No job interview necessary. Us troops would march to his drumbeat.

Allow me to clarify: I was yawning because he made sense.

Listening to Zafirovski raises my systolic. Tough to yawn when you're grinding your teeth.

  • borissss

I am proud of you. :) Fantastic job.

I watched the whole video. Good comments by Mark. He was right on point all the way.

One thing though……. Mark, you really should shave before going on TV.

“could generate as much as $2.9-million in revenue”

    million or billion?

  • reasonreality

    Mark,
You are a classic. Can't think of anyone better to comment on Nortel. Well done!

Mark Evans, did you see Duncan Stewart on BNN last night?
It's your turn to summarize CDMA bidding.
Look, ERIC has offered more than RIM just to be sure that RIM will not complain_brag about its offer anymore.
question remains if Tony FINMIN will accept the bidding…
