Nortel vs. The Utilities

In the wake of Nortel seeking a three-month extension involving its bankruptcy filing until May, which essentially keeps its secured creditors at bay, an interesting side battle taking place is Nortel and its electrical utilities in the U.S.

Essentially, the utilities want more assurance that Nortel can afford to pay its electricity bills. This include a demand that Nortel cough up a bigger deposit. It’s an interesting read, and yet another sign that a lot of lawyers are going to make a lot of money from this bankruptcy process. Here’s the document: Nortel vs. The Utilities

I don't think there's enough people left to pedal the generators.

Amazingly, they have trouble providing even the bare essentials! No wonder there is such mistrust. And yet people continue to attack me for the problems.

Sorry, the money's all tied up in Vancouver & London Olympics sponsorships. Please keep the lights on in the mean time.

The voice of reason has always scared the powers in charge. You just keep plugging away, my brave and courageous friend…–bb

Can't see how the courts would allow Nortel to keep their sponsorships. Bet you they are trying to unload it as we speak…–bb

Thank you as always for your support, BB.

I have watched in disgust as the same detractors have come out in force to “rate down” almost every single one of your comments, BB. This has resulted in you having over a -100 score!

Amazingly, these “rate downs” have come at a time when your comments have proven to be most poignant and most true. Indeed, this is more of a reflection of those that seek to silence dissent that it is of the commenter himself!

Their goals have always been the same: To defame those that present the truth and uncover corruption. In this way they have attempted to character assassinate anyone who dares step in their path.

But what these people do not understand is that truth exists independent of who broadcasts it! In their attempts to cover up the misdeeds and malfeasance of criminal minds, they have only succeeded in confirming the existence of these very things!

    DJ,

Thank you for your reply but I am shocked! -100?!?!? Who ‘rates’ my responses and how do I get to see my score? Pls advise, we must fix this, at once :) .

Seriously, I don’t give a ‘flying diddle’ what my score is; I know how Nortel engineers (aka ‘The Force’) feel and what they think about my posts. Nothing else matters….–bb

PS– wait till you see what I do next :)

  • MrReal

    why lie?

  • NortelTragedy

Yet, they are profitable. Look at those commercials again and think of all of the shareholders (and employees) who have lost money (the stacks of $$$ they show sitting on the tables in the commercials) in Nortel … lies, deceit, greed, mis-management, cronyism, elitism, and, did I mention, lies, lies and more lies.

Olympics is all about winning and winners, is it not?
I don't expect Nortel's name to be advertised during Olympics, the total loser and alleged fraud /alleged… haha/
and look at the subject of that article
When I posted about electric power was delivered to Nortel by Ontario Hydro on the basis of human rights, every one thought I was just a basher!
I wonder how many minus score I am getting for my posts here, all the posts right on target in last 5 years!
    Alleged frauds… haha
    J Roth pocketed $159 mill!
I was wrong! I estimated him only at $150 mill using simple math!

Canadian Olympians have promised to use 30% less energy in competition, and then donate any surplus time they might “accrue” by placing second or lower to the yearning masses waiting in line to use the single-cell open-ceiling stadium restroom (which keeps the lighting costs down, and the seat stays warm.)
