Speculation is rampant in the wake of news that the federal government is looking to rent as much as 3.875 million square feet of office space beginning in 2011.
When asked by the Ottawa Journal about Nortel’s plans for the Ottawa campus, spokeswoman Annie Fuller said: “We are exploring several options for the Ottawa office, including the sale or lease of parts of the campus. However, I cannot comment on any specifics considerations or activities.”
Given Nortel has been shrinking its Canadian real estate portfolio to reduce costs, it might make sense for Nortel is move to a smaller space in Ottawa. In 2005, Nortel sold its corporate headquarters in Brampton, Ont. to Rogers for $100-million.
Maybe they could move back to Meriline Court out on Baseline. HQ could be in the totem building and tower “6″ would still be “Bud City” across the street (forgot what it used to be called before “Bud City” , was it Hoolahans?)

Please do that. Then you will see that “The West Mall” is actually a Street Name in Toronto, rather than your total BS of Nortel's headquarters being located in a Toronto Mall.

We all have been waiting for that last destination to move HQ once again. btw Can you use Google Maps to check Sales Studio? I heard toronto was too multicultural for nortel headquarters. I heard the carling site will be sold to the federal government in ottawa creating new jobs/employment for all the nortel employees currently working there. Oh Canada.
