40G Here, 40G There
By Mark Evans | September 24, 2008
Amid all the talk about Nortel’s Metro Ethernet Network business (including a strange quote from MEN prez Philippe Morin that the news of its availability had attracted more buyers), is this interesting tidbit: a Google News search for “Nortel 40G” generates a long list of results.
As well, Nortel recently launched a new online marketing tool for 40G that shows how much traffic its flowing on the Internet in different part of the world. Nortel Buzzboard has more details.
It’s kind of strange to see Nortel put the focus on 40G given it wants to dump MEN. I guess it’s just part of the sales pitch.
