As a shareholder, I frequently visit ABN to learn about / evaluate the strength of the company. I like the fact that the site does a good job of reporting both the good and bad news. I think the current balance of news types (financial, technology, etc) is good – I commend you and request that you not change the site.

I started to read AAN just a month ago and quickly fall in love with AAN. I can feel the fairness in Mark because he posted an article of Lehman analyst who downgraded Nortel and he also had an article of Barry Richards who bullish on Nortel. Too me that is how a writer should be. Unlike the writer in the Street.com, he only wrote about Lehman analyst downgraded Nortel all day long and did not say a word about other analysts who bullish on Nortel. Keep up the good work Mark.

The blog is fine as is Mark. To touch on those other subjects you gave as examples would be redundant as Yahoo's Headline News covers those items well.

The blog traffic is proof enough it meets the general, inquiring needs of those connected in some way to Nortel.

It was helpful that you explored a better platform via DisqUS and implemented it.

It would be good to see on the front page how many comments each entry has. Also, can you improve the look of the site? Is the dog above a reference to Nortel?

Other than that, you provide a great service! I read it everyday.

Mark,

You have created a solid platform for all that want to see Nortel succeed (for various reasons) and, if Nortel’s ‘world-classers’ were a bit smarter (and less anal), they would use the very insightful comments herein even when they are not flattering or downright insulting. The truth can be ugly at times.

Your blog is a reflection of how (and why) the rest of the industry feels about Nortel and its severe lack of direction. Nortel does not need to spend any money on market research, focus groups, customer/employee satisfaction surveys (biggest waste of time ever created) or any other of that useless Bain/McKinsey strategery-type thinking. This blog is the best thing that happened to Nortel because it tells them what they need to hear (and know). Question is: are they using it or just ‘taking names down’? Keep up the great service…

1. Reports on Nortel's new strategy to break up the company
2. Reports on the departures of most Nortel senior execs and board members
3. Finally, reports on the success of the smaller mini-Nortels
