Let the Downgrades Begin

With Nortel disappointing the market with its Q2 results lat week, it’s takrn little time for the analysts to jump off the bandwagon.

Jefferies & Co.’s George Notter lowered NT to a “hold” from a “buy” amid fears of lower wireless sales. Notter is concerned the decline of Nortel’s CDMA business will not be offset by sales of other wireless technology.

George, I could have told you that!

Yep. The economy isn't recovering anytime soon. Not until at least 2010. If Canada wants to keep Nortel afloat they will likely have to float government bonds in order to keep mass unemployment from hitting Ottawa. What lies ahead is ugly ugly ugly.

What Mike Z has done to the share price is ugly, ugly, ugly.
