Q2 Results: August 1

Is Nortel trying to sneak one by us Canadians?
How else to explain the company’s decision to release its second-quarter results on August 1, the day before a long weekend when many Canadians are paying more attention to whether the weather will be hot and the beer cold.
Nevertheless, Nortel will post its results at the crack of dawn (6 a.m.) and then hold a conference call at 8:30 a.m. featuring CEO Mike Zafirovski and CFO Pavi Binning. Here are the details:
