Nortel continues to bask in the glow of its annual investor day. Not only are analysts climbing back on the bandwagon but the media is wasting little time to highlight Nortel’s rebound.

The Globe & Mail, for example, has a story looking at Nortel’s decision to focus on LTE while partnering with Alvarion Ltd. to do Wi-Max. Until last week, it would have been difficult to track down articles in the mainstream business media about Nortel’s LTE efforts but now LTE is suddenly the cat’s meow.

The G&M article provides some insight into Nortel’s wireless business; with an analyst suggesting Nortel’s CDMA business is “generating nearly 200 per cent of Nortel’s operating income”.

Meanwhile, the Wall St. Journal looking at Nortel’s strategy to take on Cisco. And Fortune magazine has a story looking at Nortel’s “turnaround”, highlighted by the lede that “One of the ghosts of the Internet past is showing signs that it’s back from the dead”.
