Wednesday, March 19th, 2008Mea Culpa: It turns out that I was wrong about the new record low. The record low is actually $4.30 (43 cents pre-consolidated) in September, 2002.
RBC Capital analyst Mark Sue is down on Nortel.
From quasi-bullish to downright bearish in almost no time, Sue has taken YET another hack at his target price - lowering it [...]
A Look at Nortel
Tuesday, March 18th, 2008The Report on Business Magazine has a feature story on Nortel and its struggles to pull off a turnaround after more than two years of CEO Mike Zafirovski at the helm.
Interesting read.
Why Can’t Nortel Buy Something Cool?
Monday, March 17th, 2008Admittedly, acquisitions are difficult to make given you need to find the find technology and the right team at the right place.
But why can’t Nortel, which desperately needs a strategic spark of any kind, acquire a start-up(s) with exciting prospects that would give people a sense that senior management has a vision of the future [...]

The MF take on Nortel is not good:
“With the economy trudging towards a level worse than many thought, Nortel doesn’t have the benefit of the wind at its back either. While some [...]
Class-Action Lawsuit Payments Coming Soon
Saturday, March 8th, 2008Apparently, the money owed to people who participated in class-action lawsuits filed against Nortel could be getting their dough-re-me soon.
Too bad the original $2.4-billion judgement has shrunk to $1.23-million as Nortel’s share price has tumbled to an all-time low.
