Who Are You Results

I’m not why I was surprised but it turns out many of your reading this blog work for Nortel. I guess there’s an appetite for an outside perspective.

In any event, thanks to everyone for visiting All About Nortel. Here’s the results:

Nortel Employees 330
Nortel Shareholders 91
Ex-NT Employees 62
Potential Investors 22
Resellers/Suppliers 20
Competitors 12
Industry Analysts 11
Customers 7
Bloggers/Journalists 1
Portfolio Manager 1

(The answer for “other” was mostly Nortel employees)

Too bad that the PollDaddy component allows a single user to register multiple votes at any time. As such, who knows what the real numbers are. No one should be surprised that Nortel Employees are by far the largest group of readers.

  • many

I would have expected it to be ex-employees. They out number current employees three to one :)

  • Observer

    LOL

Understandibly there is a lack of interest from ex-customers too in their linear 1/3rd decline from their height, or disproportionate number of ex-shareholders…. who else cares?

Too bad though, they are missing some really great humor in this beyond hysterical laughing stock with endless ongoing punch lines that are to be witnessed to be believed. Beyond fascinating as we live within the very throws of history in the making, perhaps best described as the rise and fall of Nortel someday.

Chin up though, there are plenty of exponentially better companies to work with in this rapidly changing sector. Nortel is bleeding their remaining 1/3rd employees with benefit cuts while maintaining exorbitant management pay practices for a company who’s operations lose money for a decade. Who worth their salt wants to work for an outfit like this anyways.

  • whatever

I’m not bitter. I still enjoy the work, I ‘m working on CCNA, and I’ve got other skills, but the cloud of doubt remains above the Nortel lifers with their massive hangovers.
