Nortel Adjust Job Cut Plans
Saturday, August 11th, 2007According to the Ottawa Citizen, Nortel’s plans to cut 2,900 has been tweaked. Rather than cutting 1,700 positions, Nortel will only be slashing 1,450 jobs. The company is still intent on reaching its stated goal of eliminating 2,400 positions overall as part of a plan to reduce operating expenses by $1.5-billion.
