Vonage Sues Nortel

Look, Vonage is suing someone again. This time, it’s Nortel.

Vonage is seeking to invalidate three patents to manage telephone data. This comes Nortel is trying to sue Vonage for infringing the patents. It must be fun to be a lawyer!

    If Vonage wins this case, it would set an ugly precedence for Intellectual Property protection across the entire industry. Hopefully that doesn’t happen as all companies have the right to protect their interests in this area.

    I would not invest in anything that Jeff Citron is at the helm of. Based on his history, I’m not left with an impression that he has much respect for ethical principles. If Vonage is guilty of Nortel IPR infringement, I hope Nortel is successful in holding Vonage accountable.
