Bell Canada, Canada’s largest carriers, will be deploying Nortel’s network and service operations management technology called Metro Ethernet Manager so it can deliver bandwidth-hungry services such as video and file-sharing to business customers.
“We have seen significant growth and now carry a wide variety of service traffic on our Ethernet network, such as IP virtual private networks, high-speed Internet access, and more” said Egidio Morson, general manager, operations for Bell Canada. “With Metro Ethernet Manager, we can more rapidly address the growing demand for high-bandwidth communication services, simplify our infrastructure and make new services more readily available for our customers.”
