Hey, Someone’s Still Buying CDMA Gear

Mexico’s Grupo Iusacell, the country’s second-largest wireless operator, is buying some CDMA equipment from Nortel to extend mobile broadband service to 10 new cities. Grupo Iusacell is buying Nortel’s EV-DO Rev A solution that can offer peak data rates of up to 3.1 Mbps from the cellular base station to the subscriber and up to 1.8 Mbps from the subscriber back to the cellular base station.
