By Mark Evans | May 22, 2007
Nortel’s efforts to spread the hyperconnectivity (HyperConnectivity?) message is now officially on tour. CEO Mike Zafirovski will be delivering a keynote at the Interop conference in Las Vegas tomorrow to push the concept, which has been Nortel’s strategic mantra in recent weeks. He’ll also be talking about how is focused on helping businesses take advantage of the Web by having access to big pipes to handle the “explosion” in voice, video and data traffic.
“Nortel will help transform the modern enterprise,” he said in a press release. “We are investing and putting into place the piece parts to really grow our enterprise business. It’s not about piling on new network layers, it’s about conserving legacy investments and powering new applications with simple solutions that bring new levels of consolidation, virtualization and more.â€
For those in interested in Nortel’s recent slogan/branding exercise, previous efforts include “What Do You Want the Internet to Beâ€, which featured The Beatles’ “Come Together”, and “Business made simple”.
