      Nortel Going Green

With everyone going green these days, it’s good see Nortel climb on the bandwagon. The company has just signed a deal with Sims Group to boost the collection and recycling of electronic equipment across Europe. To get rid of old equipment, Nortel customers can contact Sims by telephone or e-mail. It’s a solid move in the right direction given how much electronic/computer equipment isn’t re-used or recycled. Instead, the vast majority of old equipment heads straight to the garbage dump where a lot of nasty toxins and chemicals ooze their way into the environment. For more on how the computer/electronics industry needs to get even more green, check out this post on Mark Evans Tech.
