Baird Maintains Neutral Rating

Robert W Baird has maintained its ”neutral” rating on Nortel with a target price of C$2. The investment firm expects the $320-million sale of Nortel’s UMTS radio access business to Alcatel will be accretive by one to two cents a share, and it believes there is limited downside in Nortel’s share price from current levels.

R.W. baird has been the most avid supporter of Nortel over the last few years than any other analyst. I am surprised by these recent down grades by their leading supporting analyst. What happened?

If this is what R.W. Baird claims, I dread to see what the stock price will really be like.
