Siemens Talking to Nortel, Avaya?
By Mark Evans | June 20, 2006
Dow Jones is reporting that Siemens is in "intensive talks" with Nortel and Avaya about the sale of its enterprise networks business. "Siemens has been in talks with both companies for a while now," Dow Jones quotes "one of these people close the German company". To my earlier post about Nortel have to deal with its own problems before tackling an acquisition, joint venture or merger, the burning question may be can it afford to wait on the sidelines until the makeover is completed?
