Nortel’s New Ad Slogan

So Nortel’s got a new advertising campaign with a new catchy slogan. Are you ready for it? It’s “This is the Way to Business Made Simple.” Huh? First, it’s doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue and I’m it’s probably not gramatically correct”. Personally, I’m more of a fan of the slogan during the telecom “What Do You Want the Internet to Be” which features television ads with a fake-CEO and the Beatles’ “Come Together”. For all you Nortel ad junkies, the new print ads can be seen here.

Actually it’s just “Business Made Simple” hence it does trip off of the tongue IMHO. I work for Nortel (hence would prefer to remain anonymous) and this is what our new stationery etc. says.

I still don’t like it. It could be a slogan for Fedex or Kinkos.

Come Together was inspired. This is tired.

The slogan doesn’t move me in any way, nor does it tell me anything about Nortel. They might as well just something generic like “Solutions for Business”.

Agreed, Although Business Made Simple is better than the Generic This is the Way, it pales in comparison to the motivational Come Together.

It needs to be inspiring and bold. Business Made Simple sounds a lot like a spin off from Staples’ Easy Button.

Ha! “Explosion is and Understatement” in and airport. Ha Ha Ha! I gotta say nortel does it again. Just one question; is the add before or after the TSA kabuki dance?
