Another Day, Another Executive Shuffle

You have to think there’s a well-oiled revolving door within Nortel’s executives ranks these days. Today’s appointment is James Demers, who has been hired as VP for the Asean region. He places Mark Stevens, who will become president of North Australia and New Zealand, which appears to be a demotion. Demers has been VP of wireless carrier packet solutions in Asia-Pacific.
In other Nortel news, Morgan Stanley analyst Scott Coleman thinks Nortel – and Motorola – are well-positioned to take advantage of a pick-up in wireless spending as carriers move forward with 3G networks.
